Yoga Basics, 60 min.
Awaken your strength, energy, and flexibility! In this class, you will open and stretch your muscles with slow movement, careful alignment, and conscious breath-work. Yoga poses and asanas, as well as proper alignment, will be broken down for your greater understanding. You will also learn to focus on linking conscious breath with mindful, slow movement. It won’t be easy or lazy, just slow, thoughtful, and grounding. This class will also touch on the fundamentals of yoga such as Yin, a non-active deep stretch, ligament strengthening practice. This class is excellent for new yogis. All levels of practice are welcome. Bring a yoga mat and your bare feet.
Wednesdays 5:45p-6:45p: 12/6, 12/13, 12/20, 12/27.
All Levels Flow & Restore Yoga, 75 min.
We begin with a down tempo flow that will warm the body and then ease into a gentle meditative restorative practice that uses props to fully support the body in each pose. Come as you are! All Levels classes are suitable for beginners, masters and everyone in between. These classes offer modifications so that you can customize your class to fit your specific needs and level of expertise.
Saturdays, 10:30a-11:45a: 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 12/23, 12/30.
Chakra Yoga Flow, 75 min.
Channel more confidence, creativity, and joy in your life with a basic understanding of your body's energy centers; the chakras. In this class we will address the first five chakras associated with the physical elements earth, water, fire, air, and ether (or space). When energy becomes blocked in a chakra, it triggers physical, mental, or emotional imbalances that manifest in symptoms such as anxiety, lethargy, or poor digestion. During this asana practice, we will bring awareness to, stimulate and move energy through these chakras to counteract any imbalance. You will be able to tap into the chakras as a potent way of harnessing and shifting your energy in the direction you want it to go. This class is suitable for all levels of practice. Bring a yoga mat.
Thursdays: 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, 12/28.
Breath & Meditation, 60 mins.
This class provides simple and effective breath and meditation exercises to apply in our daily lives to release mental, emotional and physical tension. We will begin with mild stretching to support the body to release stress, and practice ways of working with the breath and a variety of styles of meditation to enhance our capacity to be healthy, calm, aware and fully present. Bring a yoga mat.
