Yoga Nidra For National Nothing Day with Jennifer Miles

What better way to honor National Nothing Day, than to immerse yourself in the practice of doing nothing through the profoundly restful practice of I AM Yoga Nidra™ or guided sleep-based meditation.

The Practice:

I AM Yoga Nidra™, will take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your whole body and being is permeated by peace and profound stillness. This deep rest state is beneficial for the healthy function of the body's immune system. I AM Yoga Nidra™ also unlocks the mystical, integrative powers of the subconscious, as well as your higher centers of consciousness, to effortlessly erase your most tenacious, self-destructive habits and behavior patterns. Traumatic energy stored in the body can also be lessened or resolved through this practice.

Appropriate for everyone. You can’t do it wrong.

This session is as restful as 3 hours of deep sleep. *If you suffer from lack of sleep or insomnia, this practice will help you regulate your circadian rhythm.

Setting Up Your Space:

You will want to do this practice in a place without distraction. Please turn OFF all electronics and secure children / pets away from your quiet space. Remove any hats, jewelry, watches or glasses.

What You Will Need:

You may choose to lay on the floor on a yoga mat, or sheepskin, or you may want to lay in your bed. You will want to make sure you are extremely comfortable as you will be laying down for an extended period of time. I recommend placing a bolster or pillow under the knees (close to the thighs) and a little padding under the head. You will want to cover your body (at the minimum your torso) with a blanket as your body temperature will drop. Lastly, I would recommend using something to cover your eyes such as an eye pillow (can be purchased on Amazon) eye mask, or scarf, as it will certainly help you drop deeper into meditation. If you are unable to lay down for any reason, this session may be practiced seated with some support behind the back and head.

You may also consider using noise canceling headphones or earbuds.

If you are new to using Zoom, be sure to set up your access a few minutes before class starts. There is no charge associated with using this technology.
