In this 90-minute class, you will begin by exploring gentle somatic movements designed to release deep-seated tension and increase body awareness. Somatic exercises, rooted in the principles of embodiment, will encourage you to tune in to your body's innate wisdom, enhancing your mind-body connection and cultivating a sense of presence.
Following the Somatic Movement practice, you will be guided into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra session. Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful meditation technique that promotes deep relaxation and healing. As you rest in a comfortable, supported position, Jennifer will guide you through a series of visualization and body scanning techniques, allowing your mind to enter a state of conscious rest while your body benefits from the rejuvenating effects of this ancient practice.
SomaYoga Nidra Fusion is suitable for practitioners of all levels and abilities. Whether you are new to yoga and somatic movement or a seasoned practitioner, this class offers the perfect blend of movement and stillness to help you release stress, improve your well-being, and achieve a state of deep relaxation and inner peace.
This session is as restful as 3 hours of deep sleep. Additionally, this session is the perfect integration tool after a breathwork practice or psychedelic experience.
Keep in mind that you will be lying on the floor for an extended period of time, so please do bring what you need to be supremely comfortable. It is highly recommended to bring a yoga mat or some sort of thick exercise mat, as well a cozy blanket to cover your body, a pillow and something to cover your eyes, such as an eye pillow, bandana or hand towel.
